Tales for Tots is a monthly program, held at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, for children ages 2 to 5. (Though, a caregiver must stay with them). The program combines storytelling and art so that children can understand art through fun stories and crafts. There are two different times that this opportunity is offered: at 10:30 AM and at 11:00 AM. The classes are small, usually about 25 children and their caregivers.
When I asked Kaci Norman, the Assistant Curator of Education Youth, Family and Studio Programs, about the program, she said, “The Tales for Tots program is a free program the Museum offers once a month for toddlers and their caregivers. The program consists of a short story time, usually in the galleries and then a very simple craft that kids and caregivers complete together.”
The Tales for Tots next class will be held on Wednesday, March 22. For more information, contact the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.
