It’s that time of year, folks! It’s time for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s annual production of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens! The show’s run began on November 20 and ends on December 24.
The play, which is a tradition for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival (ASF), has been adapted from Dickens’ novel by Geoffrey Sherman, who is now in his seventh season as artistic director at ASF. According to Sherman’s bio, “his work as producer and director garnered two Obies, as well as Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Audelco nominations.”
As a veteran viewer of this annual performance, I can say that the audience is enraptured by the stunning costumes, brilliant acting, and excellent lighting every year. For more information on the play, visit: Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s “A Christmas Carol.”
