The “Hope in Motion” exhibit at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute displays photographs of the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights. The exhibition includes new photographs found bythe Alabama Media Group, and it places emphasis on Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth, who helped created the ACMHR and organized Birmingham’s bus boycott. The photographs explain an important part of Birmingham’s history.
Hope in Motion: The Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights will be on display through December 31. For more information visit BCRI.org.
