Pl@ntNet

Pl@ntNet is an app that allows users to identify plants by taking pictures of them. I first heard about this app on an article on ryot.org, describing it as “Shazam for plants.” Below is a seven-minute video about it, but be aware that it is in French with subtitles:

It could be a good tool for students involved in school gardens, especially the ones who see plants they’d like to cultivate but don’t know the names of them.
