The Fitzgerald Museum Gala: “The Dancing Belle”

On April 30, Montgomery’s F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum will hosts its annual Gala fundraiser, which is a costume party, from 7:00 – 10:00 PM. The museum is housed in the Fitzgerald’s former home in 1931 and 1932. (Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald was a Montgomery native.)

The event’s release explains:

This year we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Zelda’s debut into Montgomery society: in May 1916, 15-year-old Zelda danced a solo ballet before a crowd at the Old Montgomery City Auditorium . . . and stole the heart of every bachelor in attendance.

The Gala will feature live music by the Lo-Fi Loungers, a silent auction, and a performance by the Montgomery Ballet.
